HARLECH CASTLE was built between 1283 and 1289 by Master James of St George for King Edward I. The castle is designed on a concentric plan with a small but powerful inner ward dominated by an impressive twin-towered gatehouse and four round corner towers. 
Seized by Owain Glyn Dŵr in 1404 and held successfully by him for four years. 
Harlech is a World Heritage Site.

EATING OUT - Harlech caters for all tastes including award winning tea shops and restaurants specializing in local and world Cuisine. Our restaurant established in 2005 is situated just off the high street in Harlech. We are open for both Lunch and Dinner and we provide a Take Home Service to the local community. Our chefs have many years 
experience in home style Indian & Bangladeshi cooking and they share our desire
